Are you thinking of taking a computer class? Keyboard operation and mouse skills are necessary components for using the computer. This class will cover the common keys that are used when working with the computer as well as a lot of computer mouse practice. You'll learn computer basics in a nice slow and relaxed atmosphere.  This course has been specifically structured for seniors and others who want to get started with computers, but feel a need to build extra confidence to begin.  It will enable participants to understand the basics of operating a personal computer.  You'll learn fundamental word processing, as well as receive an introduction to e-mail and Internet tasks.  This curriculum allows for extra time for hands-on comfort and gentle answers to the questions we all have. Introduction to Computers Level 2

You'll continue to learn computer basics in a nice slow and relaxed atmosphere. This course continues the process of reinforcing what was learned in Level 1 and adds additional tools. You’ll get a review of the previous course material, learn how to change the look of your word processing documents, learn the basics of spreadsheets, and continue practicing using the Internet and sending and receiving emails and including attachments (like pictures) to your email messages. This course has been specifically structured for seniors and others who want to get started with computers, but feel a need to build extra confidence to begin. This curriculum allows for extra time for hands-on comfort and gentle answers to the questions we all have. Prerequisite:  Introduction to Computers Level 1 or Equivalent. Two Sessions

Smartä Board: An Introduction

A visual enhancement in conferences and in classrooms, the SMARTä Board is part touch-screen computer display and part white board.  As a large, touch-screen computer display, the SMARTä Board allows multiple people to manipulate the computer.  During this session, you will get the opportunity to learn about the tools available with the SMARTä Board, along with the software.  You'll see demonstrations of how the SMARTä Board can assist you in meetings and seminars. You'll also see how standard white board pens become digital ink to annotate an image, edit a document or create a diagram or chart from scratch.  Turn mundane presentation into memorable ones with ease.
