As founder and chief training officer at Modern Inconveniences, Rebecca Metz’s career marries three very unique and distinctive traits:
• An ability to patiently teach, coach and encourage• An understanding of technology and how to harness it
to effectively support business
• A collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit
Equipped with these talents, Rebecca provides a very individualized approach to incorporating technology tools and software for small business owners to confidently streamline administrative tasks, allowing entrepreneurs to focus on other important aspects of their business.
Modern Inconveniences grew as a culmination of Rebecca’s personal and professional experiences. As a teacher in the Japan Exchange Teaching (JET) program during the 1990s, Rebecca observed new JET teachers arrive with laptop computers and email facilitating faster connections to the rest of the world. Intrigued, when she returned to Minnesota, Rebecca began learning all she could about the technology and how to use it.
So while the world of technology evolves at dizzying speed,
Rebecca demystifies it and develops new training resources such as The Tech Guide – a subscription step-by-step resource – and special training package options to keep small business owners technologically up to speed.
When Rebecca is not immersed in tech or training, she celebrates everyday pleasures with her family and friends, scrap booking and enjoying the outdoors.
